Many of Marvin’s dreams were vivid beyond belief, but not always easy to explain. There’s something very “Adam and Eve” about this print, and I remember asking him what the white figure in the top of the tree represents, and as often happened he had No Clue. And he kind of liked it that way.
This was also one of the dreams/visions that came from reading creation myth stories… there is a Scandinavian myth that all of the waters of the world begin at the base of the Tree Of Life.
