Marvin had many literary heroes, and Henry Miller was a favorite from high school. 

This is one of three Literary Heroes – the others are “Mark Helprin Is A Pendulum Swinging Over A Celestial Map” and “Emily Dickenson Is A Child Asleep In A Pile Of Leaves”. He had many more planned. These pieces were carved from 2 pieces: the frame of words and the image, and then constructed with a little space between the two. Hard to show the interesting effect in the photos.
