Very vivid dream with the familiar Elements theme – Air, Earth, Fire, and Water. In his dream the creatures were dancing among the trees, but looped and twisted in surreal ways. He never did know what the rune banner said.
Oh, the other interesting bit of back-story is the board this image is carved into was a piece of a drawer from a Pullman train car. The label is still on the backside.
I loved painting this one because my coloring brought the creatures to life!
