Ocean Fights Oily Death

There was a series of devastating oil tanker spills, several in just a couple months, and I went on a letter-writing campaign. I wrote letters to then President Clinton, First Lady Hillary, our Senators and Congresspersons, and sent copies to all our friends, relatives, people we hardly knew for them to sign and mail. I don’t think I ever heard from anyone and have no idea if their letters were mailed, but I had to do something! This powerful image depicts the ocean’s valiant attempt to heal itself despite continued injury.
