One of the “Comets and Ghosts” series from Marvin’s graduate thesis exhibit. The first one was very deep, and assembled in a painted wooden box. Like the others, The Scribe evolved into the piece above which had more of the illusion of depth than actual depth. He was reading about the practice of “automatic writing”, and since we were living in Iowa there had to be tornadoes.
