Joel Feldman, Marvin’s undergraduate printmaking instructor, had the most beautiful set of Japanese carving tools. He would cringe when Marvin said his favorite tool was a broken piece of razor blade stuck into an Exacto-knife handle, the orange plastic Speed Ball, or the tools with electrical tape bandages. All I can say is… you cannot argue with the results!
